Spring Escape Surprises!
What we saw in Santa Barbara was such a surprise.
Join us on our spring escape tour where we’re on a mission to find blooming flowers, ocean breezes, and partake in some tourist activities.
The first stop is Ventura, where we visit our friend Vickie. She not only offered us a place to park, but showed us around the Harbor Village and the historic downtown of Ventura where we perused quaint shops and sampled a couple of fun cafes.
Next, we headed to Santa Barbara to visit our friends Kimberly and Stan. After missing a trip on the Santa Barbara LandShark, we ended up on a whale watching adventure on the Sunset Kid Sailboat.
The crew hadn’t seen whales in six weeks, but guess what we saw! 🐋 🐋 🐋 🐋 🐋!!
The magic didn’t end there. For our last night in Santa Barbara, we enjoyed the sweet music of the Unaccompanied Minors at the Anchor Rose with a picturesque harbor as the backdrop.

After three months on the road, we’re wrapping up our Autumn Van Life Adventure Photography Series.
In this video, we travel from Lake Michigan to the Badlands of South Dakota where we experience howling winds and out-of-this-world landscapes, and hit the jackpot photographing big horn sheep in the Badlands National Park.
Traveling across the plains, Matt shares his Native American ancestry and how his great, great grandmother was the niece of Sitting Bull.
After so many wonderful adventures, we decided to take a few days to decompress in Moab, Utah where we take a late-autumn hike to the Morning Glory Arch.

Our Shake Out Tour
Our shake-out tour took us on a challenging and exciting trip from viewing the total solar eclipse in Texas where we positioned ourselves within the zone of totality to exploring remote desert vistas in southern Utah.
